Switching NDIS Plan Managers: Your Quick PACE Guide

It’s been over 12 months since the NDIS introduced the new PACE system. Awesome Plan Management has been involved in consultations since the early test phase in Tasmania, working closely to understand the process and guide participants smoothly through this transition.

If you’re ready to switch plan managers, this guide will walk you through the process for both the new PACE system and the original NDIS system. Let’s get started:


Step 1: Confirm Your Plan is on the PACE System

Once your new NDIS plan is approved, confirm with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or NDIS contact whether your plan is managed under the new PACE system. Additionally, ensure that your funding is designated as “Plan Managed.”

 


Step 2: Contact Your Plan Manager

If your plan is “Plan Managed” and you’d like to work with Awesome Plan Management, call us on 1300 848 105. We’ll provide a copy of the service agreement and answer any questions you may have.


Step 3: Complete the Service Agreement

Review, sign, and complete the service agreement provided by your chosen plan manager.


Step 4: Inform the NDIA of Your Choice

If your plan is on the PACE system, the participant or plan nominee must inform the NDIA of their decision to appoint or switch plan managers.


Step 5: Notify the NDIA

You can contact the NDIA by:

  • Calling 1800 800 110, OR
  • Informing your LAC or NDIS contact during your final plan meeting, typically called a “plan implementation meeting”

During this process, you’ll need to provide the details of your chosen plan manager.


Step 6: Provide Your Plan Manager’s Details

After verifying your identity with the NDIA, you’ll need to share your new plan manager’s NDIS registration details.

For Awesome Plan Management, provide the following information:

  • NDIS Provider Number: 4050087267

You may also find it helpful to have the following details ready:

  • ABN: 62 647 322 021
  • Legal Entity Name: AWESOME A & S PTY LTD
  • Trading name: Awesome Plan Management

Step 7: Confirmation of Setup

Once the setup is complete, your plan manager will send you a confirmation via email or text to let you know everything is ready.

 

 


Switching Plan Managers Under the Old NDIS System

If your plan hasn’t yet transitioned to the PACE system, don’t worry. You can follow a similar process to nominate a new plan manager. Just reach out to our team on 1300 848 105 for additional guidance.
